HOT FIND - Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as King Henry VIII

He's played Elvis. He's played a David Bowie type glam rocker in "Velvet Underground" and he killed Scarlett Johansson in "Match Point" - but can Jonathan Rhys-Meyers make King Henry VIII a sex symbol??

If these promotional shots for the brand new Showtime original series - "The Tudors" are any indication - I'm going to say Yes!
Premiering on April 1st - the series will chronicle the early years of the most infamous King ever to rule Great Britain. Concentrating on his sexual conquests as well as political - Rhys-Meyers looks like he has exactly what it takes! I definitely like what I am seeing so far!
Enjoy!

FOX Releases Scenes from "The Simpsons Movie" Online!

FOX has released some "scenes" from the upcoming "The Simpsons Movie". Plot details are COMPLETELY under wraps - so no telling what these images mean - but I really don't care. A Simpsons movie is LONG overdue - and I will be there July 27th when it opens.

But you can judge for yourselves. Click the movie poster above for the three different trailers released so far and check out the "scenes" below.

What do you think? Should the animated family stay on the small screen? Or will this be as good as the "South Park" movie was??

Only time will tell - but if the last 18 seasons of the television show count for anything and with as much time and work it has taken for this to hit the theatres - I'm betting it's gonna be good!

Reggie Bush Isn't Going to The Super Bowl - But He is Still Second to None!

Heisman Trophy Winner - Reggie Bush - almost made it to this years Super Bowl. His team - The New Orleans Saints - was just one game away when they lost the NFC Championship Game to the Chicago Bears.

But this SMOKIN' HOT 21-year old running back isn't hurting too bad. After being drafted to the Saints just last year - he has definitely made his mark on the game. In his first year - Reggie was not only a starter right off the bat - but Bush also set the NFL record for receptions by a rookie.

Even though he didn't take his team to the Big Game this year - there are big things ahead for this guy. Only history will tell how far he can take his team - but here's hoping he stays in the spotlight for a while.
Here are the shots from Reggie Bush from a recent GQ article - along with some behind the scenes footage of Reggie showing it off at that photo shoot. I'll tell you one thing - he can do ALOT for a sweater!! And he doesn't seem to mind showing off that rock-hard chest and perfect abs of his. So - here's to a long NFL career - showing that body every step of the way.

Enjoy!

GREAT PERFORMANCES - Jennifer Hudson - You're Gonna LOVE Her!!

"Dreamgirl" - Jennifer Hudson makes her very first cover this month in Giant Magazine's February issue. And not a moment too soon! Ever since "Dreamgirls" hit it's wide release on Christmas Day - one thing has been established - Jennifer Hudson is a STAR!

Jennifer plays Effie White - the mistreated member of "The Dreams" - the fictional girl singing group portrayed in the movie. Acting among much more established stars like Eddie Murphy, Beyonce and Jamie Foxx - Hudson definitely holds her own and commands attention every time she is on the screen.

Hudson portrays the singing diva with spot-on precision. When Effie is first knocked from the lead of the group by Beyonce's character and then kicked out of the group all together - the betrayal and hurt that Effie feels is clearly displayed in Hudson's eyes.

The familar Broadway anthem - "And I'm Telling You (I'm Not Goin')" has been performed many times on the stage by many actresses. But when Jennifer sings her heart-breaking, show-stopping version midway through the movie - she shines like someone who has commanded the silver screen thousands of times before. She claims this song as her own. It is hers now - no one else will be able to perform that song without bringing up images of Hudson as Effie. Never again.

I've seen "Dreamgirls" twice and as Jennifer sang "I'm Not Going" to Jamie Foxx - the theatre I was out busted into spontanious applause both times as Hudson performs. When she hits those final notes - you realize that a star is being born. I turned to my man and said - "She just won an Oscar."

This has definitely been a "life-changer" for Hudson. Going from placing SEVENTH in the 3rd Season of "American Idol" - to being a Golden Globe and SAG award winner. Jennifer has also been honored by several critics associations for her work in "Dreamgirls".
If you haven't seen "Dreamgirls" - go see it. Not only is it a fun musical set in the early Motown years - it is also a very well done story of friendship, love, family, betrayal and ultimately - forgiveness. Seriously - quit reading this blog and go see it!

Below are some more shots from the Giant Magazine photo shoot. And don't forget - Jennifer Hudson's first movie role ever has been nominated for "Best Supporting Actress" at this year's Oscar Awards - check out the show on ABC Feb. 25th - to watch her pick up her award!

Enjoy!
