Brad Pitt Seeing RED over Vanity Fair BLUE Boxers Cover

Brad Pitts "representatives" are lashing out at the editors of Vanity Fair - in regard to their December 2006 - "The Art Issue".

It seems that neither Pitt or his people expected the semi-nude shot to appear on the upcoming issue's cover.

According to TMZ celebrity website the photos in question of Pitt -- shown standing in the rain in nothing but a pair of boxer shorts and socks -- were taken by artistic photographer Robert Wilson in September 2005.

"Vanity Fair decided to do a story on Wilson's video portraits and obtained rights to the entire collection of photographs from those sittings, which included Pitt's. Mr. Pitt also signed a legal release when the photographs were taken." a statement from Vanity Fair quoted by TMZ said.

Brad's people stated that the actor was blindsided - never expecting the "over a year-old photo set" to be splashed on the very public cover and issue.

"We are very disappointed that Vanity Fair has chosen to put an unauthorized cover on their magazine," a spokesperson for Pitt said on 10/31. "It seriously makes me question their integrity and motives."

My opinion - Brad's got NOTHING to be ashamed of - and if I was 42 (yeah, he's 42) and looked that good - you wouldn't be able to keep me off any magazine cover without a shirt on!
