I wanted to start out by telling those who haven't seen this Wednesday's episode and don't want to be "spoiled" - skip this post and come back to it after you watched it. It reveals Major/All Plotpoints.
I should have started this in an earlier "Lost" post - but I just wanted to let everyone know. In the future I'll just start any post that might be plot revealing like this:
*WARNING - SPOILER ALERT*
Let me tell ya - for whatever reasons last weeks "Lost" episode left me a little dry and confused - Wednesday's episode made up for it in spades! Next to the "Tales of Two Cities" season opener, this has been the best episode so far this season. It was really well done and chock-full of "Other-y Goodness" We definitely learn alot more after this episode regarding them.
So let's get into it...
Kate and Sawyer are still in their (polar?) bear cages.
Jack is still in his aqua (shark?) cage.
He is being forced to watch weird cartoons.
Juliette has continued to visit Jack. They both seem more at ease with each other.
But you can tell that Jack is playing Juliette - just as "Henry Gale" played Locke and Jack back when he was in the Hatch armory. Sensing "issues" between Ben and Juliette - Jacks begins to create a rift between the two.
Meanwhile back at the survivor's camp - Desmond walks up to Claire and baby Aaron and tells her that she needs fix her roof on her shelter.
But of course, Charlie shoos him away saying that if the roof needs fixing - "he would be the one doin' the fixin".
This week's flashbacks were Sawyers - and he really shined! I've always been barely a fan of his - I'm a Jack man - all the way - but he looked pretty good in this episode and he goes through some major hell - so he grew on me a little bit.
We pick up Sawyer in prison - serving a term for the con of the woman that we meet in another episode who pressed charges and won, it seems. He's conning again.
This time its a fellow prisoner who has stashed a substantial amount of money he stole from the goverment.
Back on the island - Sawyer demostrates his new plan of escape - to use the feeding machine with its electric shock if it is done incorrectly and give the next "Other" who gets close to the cage.

Then Benjiman came along. Ben then explains that they had implanted a pace maker in the rabbit - so that if its heartrate exceed a certain amount - the pace maker would send a shock that would blow up the heart.
Ben says they also put one in Sawyer. He is told that if his heartrate exceeds 140 bpm - he will die.
Flash back to Sawyer's prison days.

Sawyer's con victim (and reason he's behind bars) - comes by for a visit, with some startling news:
He's got a daughter.
Back with Jack - Juliette rushes into the observation room covered in blood.
It's "The Other" that Sun shot on Desmond's boat a couple of episodes ago - she is dying and (without Ben's permission) Juliette begs Jack to let her get him out so he can save her.
Jack agrees and (in a pretty creepy scene) he is led to the patient with a burlap bag over his head.
He was led through the area that Sawyer and Kate's cages are. But before he arrived, those crazy sonic alarm sounds over and over (the same ones we heard throughout the "what happened to Claire when she was taken by Ethan" episode).
No matter how loud Kate and Sawyer yelled to let Jack know that they are there - he never heard anything.
As they arrive (and have a little confrontation with Ben) Juliette leads Jack to where they operate.
As he is being led - he noticed a very unusual but distictive spinal x-ray.
Jack and Juliette continue to try to save the woman.

But it's too late - Jack couldn't help.
Pickard - the dead woman's boyfriend/husband - demands that the survivors pay for what they her death.
But he decides he wants to take it out on Sawyer, running out to were Sawyer and Kate are being held - he pulls Sawyer from his cell and throws him against Kate's. All the while screaming at Kate "Tell me you love him!"
Sawyer gets a nasty pounding - again. Pickard continues punching a lifeless Sawyer as he screams at a crying Kate - "Tell me you love him!" over and over.
Kate begs him to stop and screams back that she does love him.

Back at the beach camp - we know something is up with Desmond. When he shut down the Hatch and caused it to implode somehow, did this make him a precog? Is he clairvoyant?
I think he is figuring it out pretty fast. And he likes it
Early the next morning, over at "Camp Others" - Ben wakes Sawyer up and tells him to come with him.

He has "something to show him".
After a couple of hours of hiking,
And as Sawyer's heart monitor begins beeping a warning about his escalated heart rate - Sawyer asks if they were just going to continue to hike until his heart exploded?
Ben then turns to Sawyer and pulls out that same rabbit that died from the implanted pace maker and tells him that he never had such device in him. It was all a hoax to keep Sawyer from trying to escape.
Sawyer didn't take the new too well...
Ben composes himself and explains that any attempt to escape is useless - and then he shows Sawyer why.
Ben shows that there actually are two islands. "The Others" are on one - the survivors on another. And you can see - Sawyer breaks - we can see him accept that even trying to escape is useless. There is no where to go.
He didn't realize how far away from home the three of them actuallly are.
He turns and follows Ben and "The Others" back to his cage.
And that's it for this week. Like I said, it was great episode - a real stand-out, so far, in Season Three.
Next Week: "The Cost of Living" a Mr. Eko-centric episode.
Hopefully we will find who or what the hell this is in the monitor from next weeks preview!
I have a feeling some big things are coming - and everything is about to change....
Until then.
