Lost 3.02 - "The Glass Ballerina"

"Lost"- Season Three is off and running!

This episode focuses in on Jin and Sun, and Sun's history of deception.

In the season finale, Sayid, Jin and Sun took Desmond's boat along the coast to serve as backup to Jack and the rest as they search for "The Others".
Not knowing that Jack, Kate and Sawyer have been captured - they wait off shore. Meanwhile, we go back into Sun and Jin's past.

It seems that Sun has used dishonesty as a tool since childhood. We see this in her as a child, and as an adult by finally confirming..

That she DID sleep with her English teacher. This was alluded to in past episodes - but never confirmed.
Since her husband, Jin, is impotent....
The English Teacher

Is he the father of Sun's unborn child?

Busted by her father, Sun begs him not to tell Jin. He doesn't - but does instruct Jin to "take care of him" for the family honor.
Jin is not able to do it - but the shame the teacher felt was too much - and he leaped from his balcony to his death.

Back at "Camp Others" - Kate and Sawyer have been put to hard labor. That is, until Sawyer plants one on Kate as a distraction.

But he's quickly stopped (again) by Juliette - The Other who has been interrogating Jack.
Rousseau's daughter - Alex - returns.

Back on the shore - Sun shoots another Other as they try (and succeed) to steal their boat.

We do find out that Faux Henry Gale real name is Benjamin Linus as he introduces himself to Jack. Letting Jack know that their roles have changed - Jack is now the prisoner.

We also learn that it has been 69 days since Oceanic 815 crashed.

He tells Jack that"The Others" are here by choice - they can leave at anytime.

To prove that they do have contact with the outside world, Ben shows Jack recent news broadcasts.

Including the unbelievable feat - The Red Sox win the World Series.
And tells Jack that he has the power to get him off the island - IF he does "something" for him....
Good Episode.

Next week - "Further Instructions" - a Locke-centric episode.

Guess we will find out what happened to the Hatch and Locke, Desmond and Eko inside.

Until then....
