Hugh Jackman: "Wolverine" Movie is a Go!!

Hugh Jackman at the Fulfillment Fund’s “Stars 2006″ benefit gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last night in Beverly Hills, California.

Yep - that's right, everyone's favorite HOT X-Man is finally getting his own movie!

It's been bogged down in red tape and re-writes for years, but it looks like it is actually going to happen!

Hugh was quoted as saying: “We have our final script. We’re now finding a director, and probably in a year or so we'll start to shoot." Jackman went on to say, "It is a prequel, and it’s going to be about the origins of the character."

So all those questions still left in the air regarding Wolverine's past will finally come to light.

Possible returning actors include Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut (from X-Men III) and Tyler Mane as Sabretooth (from the original X-Men).

I, for one, couldn't be happier. Wolverine was always the best thing about all three of the X-Men movies, and it has been a long time coming for his own feature. I can't wait to see Jackman take this hot hero to a whole new level!

I hate that principal filming is still a year away - but at least it is in motion.
