Behind the Scenes: "Lost" Season 4!!

I tell ya - TV is just not the same without "Lost"! The new television season has just begun here in the US and seeing all these season premieres makes me miss "Lost" even more! We've still got about 4 1/2 months until the new season begins - ugh! The good news is - once it's back - IT'S BACK! No repeats, no breaks - there will be 16 back-to-back episodes starting in February '08! So - until that comes along - here are a few tidbits on what to expect in the 4th season.

NOTHING TOO SPOILERISH - but if you hate ALL spoilers - you might want to skip.

The biggest news came with Season Three Finale - the flash forwards! And according to executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse - these will continue throughout the run of rest of the series. They also stated that "getting off the island is not the end of the story" and "there's a whole chapter of the overall story that takes place completely off the island."

The Season Four premiere with consist of MULTIPLE character flashbacks AND flash forwards.

Michael will be back! Harold Perrineau returns as a series regular.

According to Michael Emerson (Ben) - what is coming to the island is "alot worse than The Others.

Also - Emerson also states that "Ben and Locke will be be fighting for the leadership of what is left of The Others.

We will definitely find out more about the mysterious Jacob - and according to producers - he will be as significant to the "Lost" universe as the Emperor was to the "Star Wars" universe.

The "four-toed" statue that Sayid, Jin and Sun found in the Season Two finale will be addressed - and is "very important".

Libby will be back! Producers confirm that Cynthia Watros will be filming new scenes for this season and (the very dead) Libby will appear in other characters flashbacks - that will explain her connection to Hurley, Desmond and - Dharma!?!

There's a bunch of new series regulars that are being introduced this season. Details on their roles have not been released - but I'm thinking they might be some from the "freighter" Jack got in contact with in the finale. The new actors joining the cast this year are:

Lance Reddick ("The Wire)

Ken Leung ("The Sopranos")

Jeremy Davies ("Saving Private Ryan")

Jeff Fahey ("The Lawnmower Man")
