HOT FIND - Eddie Cibrian in "Football Wives"!

"Footballers Wives" has been one of the ITV's biggest hits on the British network. The scandalous soap centers on the wives and families of England's favorite sport - Football. (or soccer - for us Americans) Well - now just like previous British hits like "The Office" and "Coupling" - the US now has it's own version. "Football Wives" takes the same concept - except adjusting it to fit American's favorite sport - Football. And believe me - the US version has got some HOT in it!


Actor Eddie Cibrian is definitely some of that HOT! Eddie plays on of the athletes on the show - and proves in the pilot episode - that he's got the body for it!! Eddie plays Jason Austin - hotshot NFL quarterback and husband to his own "Football Wife" - Lucy Lawless! Along with this pair - the pilot also features "Dawson's Creek" star - James Van Der Beek. James has left Dawson behind - and has definitely gotten hotter as he has gotten older!
Unfortunately right now - "Football Wives" has not been picked up for this Fall Season. ABC - who original ordered the American version of the British soap - passed on the pilot. Currently the producers are trying to shop it around to other networks hoping for a season pickup. It's too bad - I would have watched! Especially if the "wearing only a towel in the locker room scenes continued. Cibrian and Van Der Beek are definitely a couple of bodies I would come back for!
The pilot also stars "Lost" actress - Kiele Sanchez, Ving Rhames, Gabrielle Union and Brian J. White.

So here's hoping the show finds a home. As a guy who has a definite weakness for athletes - this is one series I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a pickup!
